Wisconsin Department Of Health Sunday COVID-19 Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 893 positive coronavirus cases in Sunday’s daily update, which is 16.2-percent of the 5,500 tests announced. There are 8,101 active cases in the state, an increase of 140 from Saturday. Active cases make up 10-percent of the 81-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been nearly 72-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded no deaths Sunday and that number remains unchanged at 1,168. Deaths accounted for 1.4-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 7.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 188-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 881-thousand.

Dodge County has six deaths on record and 1,254 cases, an increase of five from Saturday. The county had 86 negative tests returned for a running total of 19,866.

Washington County has experienced 29 deaths along with 1,775 cases to date.

Fond du Lac County has now reported 12 deaths and 1,277 positive tests.

Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 990 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 385 cases.

Green Lake County now has 108 cases.
