The Beaver Dam Wildfire 14U girls hockey team captured the Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) Class B State Championship with a thrilling 4-3 overtime win over Green Bay on Sunday in LaCrosse.
The Wildfire trailed 3-0 with 11:29 remaining in regulation before mounting an incredible comeback. Alanna Hanni scored twice — once with 8:46 left and again with 4:48 remaining — to pull Beaver Dam within one. Zoe Ruis found the back of the net with just 1:12 left in the third period to tie the game and force overtime.
In OT, Ellie Rhodes scored the game-winner to complete the comeback and secure the state title for Beaver Dam.
The Wildfire program serves as the feeder system for Beaver Dam High School girls hockey.

- Semifinal: Beaver Dam 4, Sauk Prairie 3 (OT)
