(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,319 positive coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s daily update. There are 25,500 active cases in the state, an increase of 648 from Tuesday. Active cases make up 18.4-percent of the 138-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 111-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded 16 deaths Wednesday, for a total of 1,415. Deaths accounted for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 5.7-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the over one-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 210-thousand people were from the United States.
Dodge County has 19 deaths on record and 2,268 cases, an increase of 42 from Tuesday. The county had 178 negative tests returned for a running total of 24,519. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 547 people while 1,307 have recovered.
Washington County has now experienced 37 deaths along with 3,028 cases.
Fond du Lac County has 2,600 positive tests on record along with 14 deaths.
Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,714 cases to date.
There have been three deaths in Columbia County where there have been 947 cases.
Green Lake County now has 389 cases.
