(Beaver Dam) Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam and Ripon College have announced a guaranteed admission partnership for international students. Named the Ripon-Wayland Connection, the pilot program seeks to provide international students with a guaranteed admission and financial aid to attend Ripon College at a cost that is comparable to attending Wayland.
Head of Schools Jason Warnick says they are excited about this partnership with Ripon College.
“Wayland has had a relationship with Ripon…with different agreements and things…mostly as it pertains to tuition reciprocity for employees at either school and I think that’s ebbed and flowed for a while…but this is really taking our collaboration and connection to another level which is awesome.”
Warnick adds that Wayland and Ripon share many commonalities.
“There’s alumni from both schools…there’s professors at Ripon who send their children to school here and vice versa…there are Wayland alumni all throughout the Ripon community and vice versa.”
Warnick notes that Wayland will utilize this partnership in its recruitment efforts of international students as a way of providing a path for continued education after graduation. The pilot program will run for the next four years. Warnick says the two campuses will assess then if the outcomes match their goals.
