With Megan Duffy, leaving Marquette for the Virginia Tech women’s basketball job, Waupun senior Kayl Petersen announced that she has re-opened here recruitment. Petersen, a First Team Division Three All-State selection and a 3rd Team Associated Press All-State pick. Petersen averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds this past season for the Warriors.

2022 Waupun graduate Abbie Aalsma has also entered the transfer portal after two seasons at Illinois State. Aalsma averaged 7.5 points and 2.3 rebounds this past season for the Redbirds. She started all 33 games she appeared in.
Both Petersen and Aalsma played a major role in Waupun’s 2022 WIAA Division Three State Championship team.
