Waupun Post 210 Stays Alive In Single-A State Legion Tournament

Waupun Post 210 stayed alive in the Wisconsin American Legion Single-A State Tournament with a 7-5 win over Clintonville in Denmark on Saturday.

A day after being shut-out in their tournament opener Post 210 got the bats going early with two runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings and a single run in the 3rd to take a 5-0 lead.  Carson Bresser and Noah Gerrtison both homered and drove in a pair to lead the Waupun assault.

Bresser went six innings, giving up just four hits and four runs (3 earned) to notch the win.  He struck out two and walked two.

The two-time defending state champs will face another elimination game on Sunday when they square off with St. Mary’s Springs at 2pm.
