Waupun Post 210 Blanked In Single-A State Tournament Opener

Waupun Post 210 dropped their opening game at the Wisconsin American Legion Single-A State Tournament on Friday night to the host Denmark squad 11-0.  Denmark, who won the WIAA Division Two state championship earlier this spring, score two runs in the first, five in the 5th and four in the 6th to win the game in 6 innings.  Post 210 could only must five hits on the day as they were delt their first loss of the season. Carson Bresser collected two of those hits, while Cole Hicken doubled in the loss.

Post 210 (17-1) will square off with Marathon (15-7) at 11:30am on Saturday morning in an elimination game.  Marathon was edged by St. Mary’s Springs 5-4 on Friday.
