(Waupun) Waupun Police Officers Robert Williams and Brett Gerritsen recently visited the Rock River Intermediate School to present third grade teacher Danielle Newton with a check. Officers donated to the effort, which will allow the class to purchase books throughout the school year through the Scholastic Book Program. Newton was chosen for dedicating 31 years to teaching in the community. Police Detective Brian O’Donovan says Officer Williams spearheaded the effort.
