(Waupun) One of the Waupun men accused of robbing the National Exchange Bank and Trust in Glenbeulah was arraigned Wednesday in a Sheboygan County courtroom. 36-year-old Justin Smith entered a not guilty plea to a felony count of Armed Robbery along with misdemeanor Possession of Cocaine and Bail Jumping. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies caught Smith and Balgie during a high-risk traffic stop the same day as the August 9th robbery. Washington County Sheriff’s investigators believe Smith may have been involved in the April robbery of a National Exchange Bank and Trust branch in Allenton. Smith is being held on a $500-thousand-dollar cash bond and has a jury trial on the calendar in January. Balgie is seeking a reduction of his $50-thousand-dollar cash bond.
