The Waupun High School girls basketball team is one victory away from a return trip to the WIAA Division Three State Basketball Tournament in Green Bay. The Defending Division Three state champions will travel to Edgewood High School in Madison for a D3 Sectional Final against Prairie du Chien.
Waupun (Overall: 20-7) shared the East Central Conference title with Kewaskum while Prairie du Chien (Overall: 22-4) was a perfect 10-0 in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference. PDC was ranked #4 in the final Wissports.net Division 3 Coaches Poll of the season while Waupun was ranked #8.
Today’s tip is set for 1pm with the winner playing in the WIAA Division Three State Semifinals on Thursday afternoon at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
