Waupun Business Alliance Hosting Annual Banquet

(Waupun) The Waupun Business Alliance is hosting its Annual Banquet later this month. This annual banquet will provide an evening of celebration, networking, and recognition of community achievements. 

The banquet will kick off with a cocktail hour from 5pm to 6pm, featuring a performance by the Waupun High School Student Jazz Quartet. Attendees will have the chance to mingle and enjoy drinks before the eveningโ€™s program begins. 

City Administrator Kathy Schlieve and Sadie Howell, President/CEO of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, will provide important updates on the economic progress happening in the Waupun community. 

Awards will be presented throughout the evening, including the Business Legacy Award to Gysberโ€™s Jewelry and the Community Impact Award to the Waupun Community Center. Special recognition will also be given to Waupun Truck-N-Show and Mike Maly. The City will honor local businesses with the following awards: Best New Business to United Cooperative, Best Mixed-Use Redevelopment to The Lodge, and Best BID Redevelopment to Green Collar Grooming. 

Vice President of Membership and Resource Development, Joe Venhuizen, highlights some of the objectives of the evening, โ€œThey also use the opportunity to recognize some worthy businesses in the community that are doing developments. So, we have some awards that the Waupun Business alliance gives out, the city of Waupun gives out a couple of awards and just in general we have a great time celebrating with the largest gathering of the business community in Waupun.โ€ 

The evening will culminate with a dinner and presentation from 6pm to 8pm. Tickets are $50 for members, $60 for general admission, and $360 for a table of 8. A 50/50 raffle will also be held, with proceeds benefiting the Waupun High School INCubatoredu program. 

The event is taking place Thursday, March 27, from 5pm to 8pm at The Rock Golf Club, located at 700 County Park Rd.
