Waupun Baseball Holds Off Random Lake

A five run 2nd inning lifted the Waupun baseball team to an 8-7 win over Random Lake on Wednesday night at Gus Thompson Field.  The Warriors jumped out to a 7-1 lead through the first three innings, but Random Lake used a four-run frame in the top of the sixth to cut the deficit to a one run game.  Dane Stelsel and Landon Richter each drove in a pair while Bryant Ferris went 3×4 with two runs scored in the win.  Evan Sauer gave up three runs and struck out seven in five innings of work to earn the win.  Waupun (13-10) will host Kettle Moraine Lutheran on Thursday at 4:45pm.
