Watertown Regional Medical Center Makes $500K Donation To Rock River Community Clinic

(Watertown) Watertown Regional Medical Center recently made a large donation to a healthcare clinic that provides services to Dodge and Jefferson Counties. The hospital gifted Rock River Community Clinic a $500,000 check.

The donation will be disbursed in quarterly installments over the next two years, aiming to bolster the clinic’s services including medical care, dental care, and care coordination. Rock River Community Clinic provides comprehensive and cost-effective healthcare services to ensure all community members have access to the care they need.

All community members are welcome and accepted, regardless of ability to pay, with discounted prices for patients who are uninsured or underinsured (high deductible plans). The clinic also provides care coordination services to help patients overcome barriers to accessing healthcare (e.g., transportation), and helps to coordinate referrals. Bilingual staff (Spanish & English) are available to support patients and their families.

Director of Rock River Community Clinic Olivia Nichols says this substantial contribution will significantly impact their ability to provide essential medical and dental services to those in need. Watertown hospital’s CEO Richard Keddington adds that the clinic plays a pivotal role in the community, and they believe contributing to Rock River’s success ultimately leads to their success.

Rock River Community Clinic relies heavily on the giving power of local donors to help support uninsured patient needs. In 2023, the clinics located in Watertown, Whitewater, Jefferson, and Fort Atkinson saw over 1,200 medical patients and over 1,600 dental patients including 800 children and 275 patients with developmental disabilities.
