(LAKE MILLS) Families in Lake Mills will have another option for primary care starting this month.
Watertown Regional Medical Center has hired Kristin Bonilla, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, to join its Lake Mills clinic on Mulberry Street. She is now seeing patients alongside Dr. Whitney Van Reesen and plans to begin caring for patients in Waterloo once she’s settled into the role.
Bonilla brings more than 17 years of experience in health care, working in both hospital and clinic settings. Her background includes family practice, orthopedics, pulmonology, urology, and school nursing, among other specialties.
Hospital leaders say the addition will help expand access to care in the Lake Mills and Waterloo communities.
Bonilla said she looks forward to building long-term relationships with patients and helping them manage chronic conditions and improve their overall health. She also plans to work closely with specialists at Watertown Regional to coordinate care when patients need it.
Bonilla earned her nursing degree from Grand Canyon University and her master’s degree from Chamberlain University. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
The Lake Mills Clinic is located at 1025 Mulberry St. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 920-648-4518 or by visiting the Watertown Regional Medical Center website.
