(Beaver Dam) The Watertown-Beaver Dam Elks Lodge are hosting their 72nd annual Christmas Basket Program on December 23rd at Summit Ford in Beaver Dam.
Watertown-Beaver Dam Elks Lodge President Rob Radig says the volunteers are reminded to be mindful of others and what they are going through, โI have told my team and everybody out there that we do not judge, because we donโt know peopleโs situation. So, we donโt judge by what we are seeing. People come back tell me stories. I had one guy telling me on one of the deliveries he made he got there and the kid was tugging on his coat asking, โAre you Santa Clause?โ The need is really there and we try and do what we can every year.โย
Every year, the Watertown-Beaver Dam Elks Lodge packs 300 to 500 baskets for those in need during the Holiday season. The baskets of food will be packed and delivered to their recipients starting around 8:45am on Saturday.
Volunteers are asked to arrive around 8:30am and drivers are asked to wait until after 9am to arrive at the dealership located off North Spring Street in Beaver Dam.
