(Waterloo) The Waterloo School District will be holding a workshop later this week to get public input in advance of a potential referendum this August. The school board hired an outside design firm who recommended several areas of campus improvement including the addition of an athletic facility, expansion of the fitness center, upgrades to the HVAC system as well as updates to their security. To aid school officials in narrowing down focus areas, the public can stop in and ask questions, give their input, vote on choices and watch presentations as much as they can. The design workshops will be this Thursday and Friday from 9am to 12pm and also from 1:30pm to 5:30pm in the intermediate/middle school gym. Presentations will begin at 12pm and 6pm both days. The referendum is expected to appear on the August 14 ballot.
