Washington County Sheriff’s Office Responds To Two Fatal Accidents On Same Day

(Washington County) The Washington County Sheriff’s Department handled two fatal accidents Wednesday afternoon. At 3:49 pm a collision was reported between a sedan and semi-truck on County Highway M near Trading Post Trail in the Town of Trenton.

The operator of the vehicle, a Washington County man in his sixties, died at the scene. The semi operator was not injured.  The semi was stopped in traffic to deliver equipment and the sedan ran into the back of it.

Shortly before 4:30 pm the Sheriff’s communications center took a 911 call reporting a farm accident at 2742 Hillside Road in the Town of Polk. Shortly after Sheriff’s deputies and first responders arrived they located the victim.

The 69-year-old Town of Polk man died at the scene. Sheriff’s officials say the man’s death appears to be accidental in nature, foul play is not suspected.
