(NEWBURG) A barn near West Bend is badly damaged after a fire Saturday. Washington County deputies say they got a call at around noon about a fire on Decorah Road in Trenton township. The caller said they’d heard an explosion before seeing the flames and smoke.
Firefighters from Newburg and several other local agencies got the fire under control quickly. Nobody was hurt. Decorah Road had to be closed for about two-and-a-half hours. The fire did about 75-thousand dollars’ worth of damage.
