Vehicle Sales See Slight Uptick In February

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in the region in the second month of the year saw a slight increase while Dodge County’s numbers lagged behind when compared to 2022.

According to the Waterloo-based industry-tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 454 vehicle sales in Dodge County last month, which is 55 less than the 509 sold in February of 2022. There was one less car sold with 40, a drop of 2.4-percent. Truck sales decreased 11.5-percent, with 414 sold.

In Columbia County, vehicle sales were up six-percent with 318 sold, 18 more than the same timeframe last year. Truck sales were 3.2-percent while car sales jumped nearly 40-percent.

In Jefferson County, 370 vehicles rolled off dealer lots last month, 14-percent more than the 324 sold the previous March. Car sales jumped 21-percent while truck sales increased just over 13-percent.

For the nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole experienced a nearly 15-percent jump with 6,088 vehicles sold. Truck sales in the region were up 12-percent while car sales increased by 31-percent.
