(Dodge County) Dodge County vehicle sales in the month of June have seen a slight increase when compared to this time last year. According to the Waterloo based, auto industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there were 288 car sales in June compared to 265 in the same month last year, an eight-point-six-percent increase. Truck sales experienced a near half-percent drop with 1,545 rolling off dealer lots in 2019. There were 1,552 trucks sold in 2018. Columbia car sales were down by twenty-two-percent for June with 184 sold compared to 237 in 2018. Columbia auto dealers saw nine fewer trucks sold in 2019 with 1,090. In Jefferson County, there were 268 cars sold compared to 298 in 2018, a ten-percent drop. Truck sales jumped nine-percent with 1,127 rolling off dealer lots compared to 1,031 in 2018. For the nine-county, south-central Wisconsin region as a whole, vehicle sales were up just over one-percent. Truck sales topped 17-thousand, an increase of nearly five-percent, while car sales were down ten-percent with just under 5,000 sold.
