UTILITIES ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – City of Beaver Dam

The City of Beaver Dam is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Utilities Administrative Assistant. This position will assist as a customer service representative for the Water and Wastewater Utilities, assist with coordinating water meter installation, maintenance, reading, service requests, customer communication and maintain accurate records for customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with scheduling of water meter installation, testing, replacements, maintenance, and repair appointments with residents, contractors, and utility staff.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding water service, metering, billing, consumption, leaks, and service interruptions both in person and via phone/email.
• Maintain accurate meter records.
• Draft letters / customer correspondence. Provide notifications of projects to customers, media, city officials and others.
• Assist with work orders and service requests in asset management and other software.
• Support department communication by relaying accurate information between field, office, and customers.
• Assist in communication with the Utility Billing Clerk

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree preferred with additional technical coursework or training preferred.
• Utilities experience preferred
• Competent computer skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong customer service skills

Salary & Benefits:

• Hourly pay range is $23.28 to $30.23/hour based on experience and qualifications. This is a full time position that includes a comprehensive benefits package with vacation, sick leave, health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
