(Beaver Dam) In keeping with our ongoing effort to contribute to our local community, the United Wisconsin Grain Producers LLC (UWGP) Board of Directors has awarded ten $1,000 scholarships. UWGP awards ten scholarships of $1,000 each to students furthering their education. Scholarships are awarded to area graduating seniors or alumni who are furthering their education at any college or trade institution as a full or part-time student.
UWGP investors and their children along with customers/producers of UWGP are considered as well as students from the area high schools in Randolph, Cambria-Friesland, Fall River, Columbus, Poynette, Pardeeville, Portage, Beaver Dam, Waupun, Horicon, Juneau/Dodgeland, Montello, Green Lake, Princeton, Rio and Markesan. UWGP has contributed $133,000 to students since 2007.
Recipients this year are Faith Baerwolf, Columbus; Nolan P. Drews, Randolph; Caden Roland Jahnke, Friesland; Owen Jones, Cambria; Savannah Manthey, Pardeeville; Megan Pomplun, Dalton; Brady Schroeder, Rio; Lileana Selken, Fox Lake; Spencer Wiersma, Friesland; and Macy Woodward, Fox Lake.
