United Way of Dodge County is awarding $110,000 in grant funding to local nonprofit organizations serving residents across the county.
The funding comes from donations made by community members and Dodge County businesses. United Way officials say the grants will support programs focused on health care access, food security, youth development, family support and other critical needs.
Tammy Appel with United Way of Dodge County says the grants are an investment in both the people of Dodge County and the organizations making a difference every day.
The organizations selected for grant funding include Church Health Services, PAVE, the Dodge County YMCA, Pregnancy Support Center of Dodge County, Playground Movement, Living Hope Food Pantry, Beaver Dam Fire Department Cadet Program, Waupun Area Food Pantry, Boโs Heavenly Clubhouse, Habitat for Humanity Dodge County, Mayville Open Door Coffeehouse, The Arc of Dodge County, Opportunities Inc./Green Valley Enterprises and Horicon Phoenix Baby Pantry.
United Way officials say those organizations collectively serve thousands of Dodge County residents through programs that help improve quality of life and provide stability for individuals and families.
The organization has recently shifted to a board-run structure, which United Way says is intended to help maximize the amount of money raised that goes directly to local organizations.
United Way of Dodge County is also expanding its community engagement efforts with new events. The organization will host its first annual golf outing on Saturday, August 29th, at Old Hickory Golf Course in Beaver Dam. The event will bring together community members, businesses and supporters for a day of fundraising to support United Wayโs mission.
The annual grant process reviews local needs and prioritizes funding for programs that show measurable impact and community benefit.
