(Columbus) Two vehicles started on fire in the city of Columbus Thursday afternoon. The Columbus Fire Department was dispatched to 915 West James Street around 1:29pm.
The first vehicle in the driveway was fully engulfed in flames in the engine compartment and front seats. Both the front tires blew out from the fire. Siding on the garage was also starting to warp.
When crews arrived on scene, the second vehicle in the driveway had started on fire and the garage was taking on a lot of heat from the flames. Firefighters cooled the garage and extinguished the blaze in both vehicles. Officials say the vehicles are a total loss and the front of the garage has significant siding damage.
No fire entered the inside of the garage. No injuries were reported, and West James Street was shut down for one-and-a-half hours. The cause of the fire that started in the first vehicle is undetermined.
