Tim Stafford

Tim Stafford, age 85, of Beaver Dam, died on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Health in Columbus.

The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will also be a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam with a gathering at Bayside Supper Club following the burial.

Timothy Raymond was born on January 10, 1938 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Henry and Lillian (White) Stafford. He lived in and around Beaver Dam all his life. He graduated from Beaver Dam High school in 1957. At the age of 14 he started working for C. A. Starkweather Lumber Co. and in the summer time he worked at Green Giant Canning Co. In 1958, he started doing carpenter work under the apprenticeship of Carl Sell Jr. in Beaver Dam. Tim was united in marriage with Doris Schweiger on June 22, 1963 at Trinity Church – United Methodist. He was a carpenter for over 40 years working for other builders and in 1972 he formed his own company called T & T Builders. Many homes in Beaver Dam and surrounding areas were built or remodeled by him, including Walker’s Restaurant. In later years, after retiring from carpentry, he worked full and part-time at Mill’s Fleet Farm, working in the building supplies department.

Tim was a long- time member of Trinity-Church-United Methodist. He had many interests and hobbies including history of Beaver Dam. He was an avid reader and collect books, toy Farmall tractors and he had a large collection of full size Farmall Tractors. He also collected depression glass and salt and pepper shakers. In his free-time he enjoyed working on family history. He was member of the Dodge County Power Club and enjoyed going to Antique Power shows around the state. When he could get away, time was spent at Stafford Family Cabin in Winter, WI with family.

When Tim wasn’t working, he could be found having coffee at Bud’s Cozy Corner, Hardee’s, McDonald’s or Walker’s Restaurant with family or friends, catching up with the news in and around Beaver Dam. He treasured time with family and friends.

Tim is survived by his children, Jean (Jeffrey) Roedl of Frederic, Mike (Donna) Stafford of Beaver Dam, Patrick (Laura) Stafford of Beaver Dam, Rebekah (Tim) Akins of Hayward, and Rachel Stafford (Mike Koresh) of Calmar, IA; grandchildren, Felicia (David) Yang, Nikki (Zach) Dooley, and Benjamin Roedl, Tavis (Kaylynn), and Coley Stafford, Samantha, Jakob, and Nathan Stafford, Mariah (Trinity) Scharlau and Brandon Moll; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth (Robert) Rollison; his former wife, Doris Frey; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Stafford; and nephews, Bruce Stafford and Chet Hughes.

Memorials may be made in Timothy R. Stafford’s name to Church Health Services.
