Thursday Wisconsin Department Of Health COVID-19 Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2,392 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 18-percent of the 13,200 tests announced. There are 16,315 active cases in the state, an increase of 1,053 from Wednesday. Active cases make up 15.1-percent of the 108-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 90-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded six deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,265. Deaths accounted for 1.2-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 201-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 978-thousand.

Dodge County has 14 deaths on record and 1,728 cases, an increase of 51 from Wednesday. The county had 191 negative tests returned for a running total of 22,266. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 339 people while 1,007 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,442 cases, a one-day increase of 62.

Fond du Lac County has 1,892 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths.

Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,298 cases to date.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 558 cases.

Green Lake County now has 231 cases.
