Theodore “Ted” E. Weber, age 93 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Bay Harbor in Beaver Dam.
Ted was born on March 24, 1933, in Beaver Dam, to John and Agnes (Thiede) Weber. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea. On June 30, 1956, he was united in marriage to his wife, Betty Backhaus, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Ted worked for 30 years as an assembler at John Deere. In his free time, he could be found hunting, fishing, playing cards, watching the Packers and Brewers, and enjoying a cold one. He was a great Dad, loved his title of grandpa, and enjoyed telling stories to everyone.
He is survived by his children, Sandy (Tom) Hoppe, Mike (Kim) Weber, and Joe Weber; grandchildren, Luke (Mary Kate Rowley) Hoppe , Austin (Olivia) Weber, and Cole Weber; one great-grandchild, Harper Hoppe; his sisters, Barb Schwarze and Agnes Frederiksen; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Backhaus and Lois Backhaus; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; his siblings, Al, John, Jim, and Paul Weber, Elaine Schultz, and Mary Lou Oechsner; and his in-laws, Carl and Irma Backhaus; and other relatives.
A memorial gathering for Ted will take place on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
