Taylor Enters SCOWIS Race

(MADISON) State appeals judge Chris Taylor announced Tuesday, May 20, that she’s running to challenge incumbent Rebecca Bradley next spring. Wisconsin Supreme Court races have become increasingly partisan and expensive in recent years. The most recent race last April cost more than $100 million – the costliest judicial election in American history.

Taylor is a former Dane County circuit judge and former Democratic state representative from Madison. Justice Bradley is a Milwaukee native, who was appointed by Gov. Scott Walker in 2015 and won a ten-year term the next year.

A Taylor-Bradley matchup would be another liberal-versus-conservative race, but this time liberals will maintain their majority no matter who wins.
