(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,456 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update. There are 28,218 active cases in the state, a decrease of 517 from Sunday. Active cases make up 5.6-percent of the 508-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 474-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded five deaths bringing that total to 5,162. Deaths account for one-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 4.4-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Of the nearly two-million people who have died worldwide, the CDC says 373-thousand people who have died in the United States.
Dodge County has experienced 126 deaths and 10,724 cases, a one-day increase of 24 positive tests. The county had 46 negative tests returned for a running total of 37,380.
Washington County has reported 103 deaths, along with 12,424 cases to date.
Fond du Lac County has seen 71 deaths with 10,983 positive tests on record; 655 are active cases.
The state says Jefferson County recorded 60 deaths and 7,066 cases to date; with 419 active cases.
Columbia County has reported 33 deaths and 4,475 positive tests; there are 209 active cases.
Green Lake County has 14 deaths with 1,425 cases on record, 42 cases have been reported in the last two weeks.
