(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials reported 1117 positive coronavirus cases in Tuesday’s daily update, which is 7.7-percent of the 13,300 tests announced. There are 9,369 active cases in the state, up 332 from Monday. Active cases make up just over 21-percent of the 44-thousand people who have tested positive to date.
So far, there have been nearly 34-thousand recoveries. State health officials recorded 13 more deaths, bringing that number to 859. Deaths accounted for just under 2-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 9.5-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 140,630 deaths while the worldwide death rate is widely reported to be around 611-thousand.
The sixth Dodge County death reported by state health officials was backtracked yesterday to five, there was an increase of seven COVID-19 cases to 577. The county had 166 negative tests returned for a running total of 13,622. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 62 people while 273 have recovered.
Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 591 positive tests, a one-day increase of 21 cases. Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 451 positive tests to date. Jefferson County has four deaths and 441 cases. There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 166 positive cases. Green Lake County now has 48 cases.
