(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 2034 positive coronavirus cases in Thursday’s daily update, which is 17.8-percent of the 9400 tests announced. There are 11,595 active cases in the state, an increase of 756 people from Wednesday. Active cases make up 12.2-percent of the 94-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 82-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded three deaths Thursday, for a total of 1,231. Deaths account for 1.3-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.9-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 196-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 943-thousand people.
Dodge County had 35 more cases announced Thursday for a running total of 1512 with nine deaths on record. The county had 201 negative tests returned for a running total of 21,174. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 246 people while 897 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,108 cases, a one-day increase of 57 cases. Fond du Lac County has reported 12 deaths with 1,582 positive test, a one day increase of 61 cases. Jefferson County has reported seven deaths and 1,133 cases to date. There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 471 cases. Green Lake County now has 154 cases.
