(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 1,726 positive coronavirus cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 21.9-percent of the 7,800 tests announced. There are 19,560 active cases in the state, an increase of 510 from Sunday. Active cases make up 16.6-percent of the 117-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 96-thousand recoveries.
State health officials recorded two deaths Monday, for a total of 1,283. Deaths accounted for 1.1-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 6.1-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 204-thousand deaths while the world death toll is widely reported to be around 999-thousand.
Dodge County has 16 deaths on record and 1,884 cases, an increase of 47 from Sunday. The county had 187 negative tests returned for a running total of 23,071. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 429 people while 1,050 have recovered.
Washington County has experienced 32 deaths along 2,604.
Fond du Lac County has 2,121 positive tests on record along with 13 deaths.
Jefferson County is reporting eight deaths and 1,430 cases to date.
There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 645 cases.
Green Lake County now has 286 cases.
