State Health Officials Record Sixth Dodge County COVID-19 Death

(Dodge County) Dodge County recorded its sixth coronavirus death Monday, according to the Wisconsin Health Department. Statewide, the death rate is 846 an increase of two from Sunday. State health officials reported 703 positive cases in Monday’s daily update, which is 10.1-percent of the 6,200 tests announced. There are 9,037 active cases in the state, up 199 from Sunday. Active cases make up 21-percent of the 43-thousand people how have tested positive to date. So far, there have been over 33-thousand recoveries.

Deaths accounted for two-percent of all cases in Wisconsin, while 9.6-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there has been 140,157 deaths while worldwide deaths are widely reported to be around 606-thousand.

In addition to its sixth death Dodge County has 570, an increase of six from Sunday. The county had 85 negative tests returned for a running total of 13,456. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 62 people while 266 have recovered.

Washington County has 19 deaths on record along with 570 positive tests.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths and 441 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has four deaths and 427 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County where there have been 159 positive cases.

Green Lake County has 47 cases.
