SSM Health Scholarships Offer Local Students Help Paying for Health Care Careers

(WAUPUN) High school seniors who want to work in health care could get some help paying for college.

Several SSM Health groups are offering scholarships to students across the greater Fond du Lac and Ripon areas who plan to pursue careers in the medical field.

The SSM Health Volunteers will award four $2,000 scholarships to students who live in the Greater Fond du Lac service area and plan to attend a four-year college or university. One additional $1,000 scholarship is available for a student heading to a technical college. Applications for those awards are due March 7, 2026.

In the Ripon area, the SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital Auxiliary and the Arlene Fenner Family Endowed Scholarship Fund are offering three $1,500 scholarships and one $500 scholarship. Students must attend high school in Green Lake, Markesan, Princeton or Ripon. Applications must be postmarked by March 7, 2026.

The Ripon Community Hospital Medical Staff is also offering three $2,000 scholarships to students from those same school districts — including current seniors and graduates — who are pursuing a health care career. Applications for those scholarships are due March 15, 2026.
