Six Horicon Marsh Hawks Qualify for 2026 WWF Kids Folkstyle State Championships

The Horicon Marsh Hawks youth wrestling program delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 WWF Kids Folkstyle State Championships in Madison this past weekend, with six athletes qualifying for the prestigious event.

Two wrestlers reached the podium, highlighted by a remarkable milestone for one standout athlete.

Eliot Dean earned a 5th-place finish in his division, securing a spot on the podium. He is pictured first on the left in the accompanying photo.

Eva Firari captured 1st place, claiming her fourth career state championship. She is shown in action during her finals match, where she once again secured the title.

Sunday also marked a historic moment for the sport, as the tournament featured the largest girls’ state competition in Wisconsin history. A record 889 girls competed in this year’s Kids Folkstyle State Championships.
