Several Local Contested Races Will Appear On Ballots

(Dodge County) Dodge County voters who plan on casting a ballot at the polls today may see a contested local race or two, depending on where they live. There is a contested race for mayor in Beaver Dam, where there are also two contested aldermanic seats. There is also a contested mayoral race in Waupun. In Mayville, the incumbent mayor is the only name on the ballot though there are two registered write-in candidates. There are also contested aldermanic races in Horicon, Columbus and Waupun. There are three contested races on the Dodge County Board; one is a Waupun-area seat and the other two are in the Beaver Dam-area. That includes District 32 where no one is on the ballot but the incumbent and a challenger are running as write-ins. Voters will also decide school board races in Columbus, Waupun and Juneau. Several communities had a hard time finding anyone to run, including city councilโ€™s in Mayville and Juneau.
