(Washington County) One person was injured during a semi crash on Interstate 41 north of Highway 145 Wednesday morning in Washington County. Upon arrival, deputies determined that the semi was the only vehicle involved and the driver had sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The 68-year-old driver was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. The initial investigation showed that the semi was north on I-41 when it drifted into the median.
The semi passed over the barrier cables, crossed both southbound lanes of traffic, and came to a rest in the west shoulder of 41. The crash remains under investigation but authorities noted that inattentive driving appears to be a factor.
