Sandy MacHolz

Sandy MacHolz, 81, of Horicon, WI, passed away on December 5, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Sandy grew up in Markesan, the daughter of Louise and Jack Elgeti. She was united in marriage to John MacHolz and they moved to Horicon to begin their married life together.

Sandy’s life centered around her family. She devoted the early years of her marriage to caring for her family, cherishing every moment. She went on to work at Pillsbury Green Giant and the Beaver Dam Community Hospital. In retirement Sandy found joy in spending time with her family. Known for her warm smile, caring nature, and ability to relate to anyone she met, Sandy had a gift for making people feel comfortable. She enjoyed visiting supper clubs, sharing a good cocktail, and engaging in lively conversation. Above all, family was her top priority, and she passed this value on to her children and grandchildren.

Sandy will be deeply missed by her children, Jeff (Rhonda) MacHolz, Pam (Mark) Korth and Jenny (Mark) Pilsner; her grandchildren Hailey (Shane) Hughes, Olivia (Sam) White and Nicholas Pilsner; greatgrandchildren Dempsey and Grier Hughes, Markie June White and soon to arrive baby White; her sister-in-law Kathy (Jon) Urban; nieces, nephews, other relatives and special neighbors, Laurie and Steve and Jim and Ruth.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband John, infant daughter Rebecca, her grandparents, her parents and in-laws; and brother, John Jahns.
