Rotary Lights Now On Display At Beaver Dam’s Swan Park

(Juneau) The public is encouraged to head to Beaver Dam’s Swan Park to check out this year’s Rotary Lights display. Sponsored by the Beaver Dam Rotary Club, this cherished holiday tradition brings joy to thousands of visitors each year as it transforms Swan Park into a dazzling spectacle of lights and holiday cheer.

Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt, chair of the Rotary Lights Committee, says people do not realize how much work goes into preparing the displays.

“Through the summer, here into the fall,” says Schmidt. “You know, I’ve probably been [working] on things for a good 200 hours of trying to get things set up, [it] could be even more than that.”

The sheriff says the Rotary Lights have gotten bigger and better every year since its inception in 2017.

“We had our Leadership Beaver Dam class start it that year,” Schmidt says. “And then it transferred over into rotary, which I was also in. I am also the chair of the community projects, so it kind of fell on me anyway.”

The Rotary Lights will be on display through January 5th.
