(Beaver Dam) Jamie Roe, a certified hemodialysis technician working at the Beaver Dam Dialysis Center, is the newest recipient of the BEE (Be Exceptional Everyday) Award.
Patients who need hemodialysis treatments typically come to a clinic three days a week for hours each treatment. This process continues for the rest of their lives or until they can get a kidney transplant.
A colleague nominated Roen after a patient told her that “one specific hemodialysis tech makes the whole process a little more bearable”. He also said that Jamie went the ‘extra mile’ to make coming to the dialysis center an enjoyable experience.
The BEE Award is made for non-nursing staff members demonstrating great teamwork, communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service and a commitment to excellence.
