(Reeseville) Residents of Reeseville may see some discolored water over the next two weeks. The Department of Public Works begins flushing hydrants Wednesday starting from the south end of the village and moving up to the north end.
DPW officials say during this time, citizens may see a brown tint to their water, and they recommend running their taps for five to 10 minutes if this happens.
Regular hydrant flushing helps maintain and increase water quality, extends the longevity of water mains and hydrants, and helps identify system weaknesses while protecting the local environment.
