Rebels Football Ready For Opener

The Fall River-Rio high school football team has been working hard as they prepare for their 2021 season opener.

“We are feeling good about the season.  We are just coming off of our scrimmage. The kids had a really good performance in the scrimmage.  Not everything was really crisp, and we didn’t execute everything properly all the time but I know that when we did fire off the ball we were ready to go.”  Rebels Coach Cody Schultz told DailyDodge.com. “The intensity on offense and defense that we had.  That’s what your looking for because when you have that pure passion and aggression you can work with that to make that into a really good product.”

The Rebels have 30 players out for this year’s team.  Senior Gavin Wodill returns as a 1st Team All-Trailways Conference pick on the offensive line and a 2nd Team choice on the defensive line.

Coach Schultz says he has five core values for his team, that if they follow, will lead to a successful season.  They are;  always give great effort, always put the team first, be coachable, show physical and mental toughness, and have a high moral fiber on and off the field.

The Rebels open up their 2021 season on August 20th at Marshall.

The Rebels game with Randolph on September 10th at Fall River will be broadcast on DailyDodge TV.
