Randolph Fire Department Celebrating 125th Anniversary

(Randolph) The Randolph Fire Department is inviting the public in celebrating a milestone achievement Saturday. The all-volunteer department is marking its 125th year in existence. Firefighter Jerome Bashynski recently joined WBEV’s Community Comment to explain what visitors can expect throughout the day. Water fights begin at 11am, a pork chop dinner will be served at 4pm and the Driftwood Band will play at 7pm. There will also be a fire safety education trailer, face painting with 50/50 and bucket raffles. Bashynski says there will be pictures and artifacts on display cataloging the department’s history. He says that 125th anniversary shirts will also be for sale as well as memorabilia coins. The event will take place at Randolph Park located on Second Street.
