Public Input Sought For Dodge County’s Comprehensive Plan

(Juneau) Dodge County is in the midst of updating its comprehensive plan. A comprehensive plan is a long-range document which expresses the county’s vision for how it will look in 20 years.

County Administrator Cameron Clapper says the plan will address several key elements and will establish goals as well as objectives to guide future growth.

“What our plans are for agricultural…natural and cultural resources…transportation plans…plans for housing…other land uses…plans for utilities…plans for cooperation between local governments and other government entities,” says Clapper. “So, it’s a very big comprehensive plan for Dodge County.”

Clapper says residents can provide their input as well.

“Information about the comprehensive plan update is actually on our website…we still have a little banner on the top of the website so if you…just Google Dodge County…go to the website…you can see a big yellow banner across the top and it’s requesting input,” says Clapper. “And if you want to see more about the comprehensive plan process there’s a link to click right there.”

Clapper notes that several community meetings have already been held and more will be scheduled.
