(BEAVER DAM) Kraft Heinz is calling off its plans to split in two.
The company announced in September it was splitting into two companies. A decade earlier, the two brands merged to create one of the world’s biggest food giants. Kraft Heinz sales had slumped for years, and the goal of a breakup would have been to let each new company focus on its core products. But the brands’ sales have deteriorated to the point that a spinoff became less appealing to investors.
About 140 people work at Kraft Heinz’s plant, which has been in Beaver Dam for approximately 95 years.
