“A bit of a slow start again for us in the first set, but nice to see our passing improve over the course of the night finishing with 91 team digs. Kylie Braatz was on fire for us in several sets leading us with 17 kills. (Kylei’s) She’s got a huge reach & can really be tough to stop when she gets on a roll. Amara Denault really carried the team though for us in our final sets, getting us a string of serves both in the 3rd & 4th set. We really couldn’t have done it without her 7 aces and solid serve receive.. Definitely some areas to improve in, but it just feels great to get our first program conference sweep under our belt.” – Watertown coach Erin Stuerewald

“ It’s always a challenge in conference. We struggled a bit finding our rhythm in the beginning of most sets, but err able to find it as we went. Sometimes we get caught up in inconsistencies that slow us down and the 3rd set did that but we battled and controlled the 4th to finish. Lexi Marble had a great well-rounded match for both attacking and setting. Emma Dampson controlled the net well all night as well. We are working on diversifying our offense and did some great things on that front tonight as well.” – Rio Coach JC Madorin
