“After dropping a close match against Beaver Dam in our first match, we bounced back for a victory against St Mary’s Springs in the 2nd match. It was great to get out and compete against some really quality teams to find out exactly where we are at on a lot of things. The girls battled hard, and there were some real positives. There was also a lot of things that we found that could be worked on. Abigail TenNapel and Kiley Beer led is in attacking on the night with 16 and 12 kills apiece. Abigail Tennapel led us with 4 aces from the service line. Lauren Ruis led the team with 25 digs. Hannah Abel and Kate Westra split the assists nearly evenly with 17 and 18. Josie Buist led the team with 4 blocks.- – CWC Coach Dan Ten Napel

“This triangular was a good way to get the summer dust off and get into the start of the season. We had a little trouble getting our energy going in the first set of the season, but we worked through it. We were able to use multiple lineups and see some of our new players mesh with the returners. We need to improve on some things before we head to the Friendship Tournament this weekend, but tonight was a strong starting point.” – Coach Leitzke
