Post 210 Legion Baseball Season Ends At State

The Waupun Post 210 American Legion baseball team dropped a pair of games at the Wisconsin American Legion Single-A State Tournament this weekend in Viroqua.

On Friday night, Waupun dropped their opener to St. Mary’s Springs 6-5.  Springs scored three in the top of the 1st and never trailed in the game.  Post 210 scored one in the ninth but stranded a pair to end the game.  Dane Stelsel went 2×3 with two RBI to pace the Waupun offense.   Just one of St. Mary’s Springs runs was earned.

On Saturday, Denmark scored five runs in the 3rd and five more in the 5th to pick up an 11-1, 5-inning victory.  Jake Krueger’s RBI single in the bottom of the 1st accounted for the only Post 210 run of the game.  Mason Holz and Evan Sauer each collected two hits in the loss.

Post 210’s season comes to an end at 19-6.
