Beaver Dam Post 146 White Construction saw their season come to an end to Seymour 11-2 in the semifinals of the Wisconsin AA American Legion Baseball State Tournament in New London on Tuesday night.
Seymour scored a pair of runs in the 2nd, added three more in the 3rd, a single run in the 4th and five more in the 6th. Beaver Dam’s scored a pair of runs in the top of the 4th on a Carson Franke RBI single to left. Franke finished the day 3×4 while Jeff Freund ended up 4×4 with a double and run scored.
Jerek Westover took the loss going 2.2 innings, giving up 5 runs (2 earned), 4 hits, 2 Ks and 2 walks. Xavier Salzman threw 5.1 innings giving up two runs, eight hits and striking out five to earn the victory.
Beaver Dam’s season ends at 18-6 while Seymour fell to Campbellsport in the state championship game.
