(Portage) There were four overdose deaths in a one-week period last year in Columbia County and now prosecutors have filed charges in one of the cases. 29-year-old Vanessa Burger of Portage was charged yesterday with First Degree Intentional Homicide for the overdose death of a 48-year-old Portage woman last September. Burger is also facing felony Bail Jumping charges. She is expected to make an initial appearance as early as next week.
